Enrolling/Transferring - ACT Public Schools

Parents/carers are welcome to apply to enrol/transfer their child at any time during the school year using an online application form. Full details are available from the Education website.

Online enrolments for the current school year can be made using the relevant links on the Education Directorate website.

Narrabundah Early Childhood School offers 3-year-old preschool, 4-year-old preschool, Koori preschool, kindergarten, year 1 and year 2.

The Three-Year-Old Government Preschool program at Narrabundah Early Childhood School provides 12 hours a week of early childhood education for a small number of children aged three years of age, focussing on parent engagement and transition to school. The group operates 9am – 3pm Monday and Tuesday. Enrolments for 2024 can be made through the online enrolment form found on the Education Directorate website. Three-Year-Old Government Preschool program places are not allocated on a first come first served basis, applications for the program are prioritised in this order (until capacity is reached):

1. Individual circumstances based on student wellbeing

2. Child has a sibling attending the school

3. Child lives in the suburb where the school is located

4. Child lives elsewhere in the ACT. Applications will be ranked by ‘proximity’, that is the distance that your child lives from the preschool.

Four-Year-Old Preschool at Narrabundah Early Childhood School provides 15 hours a week of eary childhood education for children aged four years of age. We provide a ‘start of the week’ group (9am – 3pm Monday, Tuesday, odd week Wednesdays) or an ‘end of the week’ group (9am – 3pm even week Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday).

Kindergarten, year 1 and year 2 operates 9am – 3pm Monday – Friday. We provide high quality education based on the Australian Curriculum in a small, community minded manner.
