Programs of Interest

Narrabundah Early Childhood School partners with several Canberra based services to offer families, within the Inner South community, a wide range of information and educational programs in relation to children's emotional, social, developmental, physical, language and cognitive development.

A number of the programs offered assist parents and carers with parenting, first aid, nutrition, skills to support families with managing challenging behaviours in children and much more.

If parents and carers identify a need for program to be offered at our school please speak to the Community Coordinator and we will endeavour for this to be facilitated.

Programs on offer include:

  • Parenting Programs
  • Health, safety and well being workshops
  • A range of targeted and universal family programs
  • Parent library
  • Family linkage ad support

Narrabundah tucker time- In 2012 the school was awarded a $27,100 grant supported by the act government under the act health promotion grants to implement the Narrabundah tucker time program  the program is being delivered in partnership with the Australian red cross, communities at work, p&c and supported by wiffens premium green grocers. 

The program will work with children 0-8 years their families and the wider community to provide opportunities to plan prepare taste and be creative with a wide variety of vegetables and fruit to encourage healthy eating and improve access to health care services

There will be a number of activities linked to the program including an art exhibition, cooking classes, lunch box workshops, healthy community cook-up and fruity Fridays
